No injuries were reported but a Jeep was totaled in a single-vehicle accident about a mile and a half southwest of Panora Wednesday afternoon. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office responded to Soldier Trail at approximately 4:49 p.m. Seventeen-year-old Robert Nathan Martinez of Jamaica told authorities he was blinded by the sun as he was driving westbound on Soldier Trail in a 2005 Jeep Cherokee. He left the roadway as it curved to the south and rolled in the ditch, striking a fence. There was an estimated $6,000 in damage to the Jeep and $350 in damage to the fence owned by John Fisher of Panora.
