Emma Schroeder of East Sac is on to State Cross Country, Alexia Nelson of SCC Misses by One Spot

Cross Country State Qualifying Results Thursday, October 22^nd

East Sac At Ridge View- Class 1A

Emma Schroeder reached her goal this season of qualifying for the State Cross Country meet as she finished 6^th on Thursday on a wet, chilly and muddy day. The junior ran a time of 21:31.30 and was 13 seconds in front of the 7^th place runner. Lauren Litterer capped her senior season taking 2^nd for the Raiders and 55^th overall with Cora Mahler a freshman going 59^th.

Wyatt Thorpe wrapped up his junior season in 27^th place as the Raider boys finished 7^th overall. Thorpe was followed by Parker Engel in 35^th and Nathan Pobanz in 45^th.

South Central Calhoun At Eagle Grove- Class 2A

Alexia Nelson had a great season and was coming on very strong the second half of the season and Thursday she just missed qualifying for the State Cross Country meet finishing 16^th. They take the top 15 individuals so Nelson missed it by one spot. The Titans girls had solid showing overall finishing 6^th with Nelson leading the way followed by Alayna Murley in 40^th and Brielle Korleski 45^th, Ashley Hanks 47^th and Evenly Kramer 49^th.

It was a tough day and tough field for the South Central Calhoun boys as they finished 14^th as a team and were led by Justin Hanks in 44^th place with Nathan Burley in 63^rd.
