Carroll County Public Health Reports Seventh Coronavirus-Related Death

As positive and active case numbers and the two-week positivity rate continue to rise in Carroll County, so does the number of deaths. Carroll County Public Health has confirmed the seventh coronavirus-related death. As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, there have been 941 reported cases with 615 recovered and 319 active cases of COVID-19 in Carroll County. The two-week positivity rate is at 21 percent, placing Carroll third in the state, behind only Harrison County at 22.7 percent and Sioux County at 25 percent. Public Health has also provided a breakdown by zip code. Carroll is reporting 533 of the cases with Coon Rapids at 101, Manning at 84, Glidden 48, Breda 39, Arcadia 36, Templeton 25 and Dedham 21. Other communities with less than five people who have contracted COVID are not yet represented. Testing continues through local providers as well as at the Test Iowa sites at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll and the St. Anthony Clinic in Denison.
