Carroll County 14-Day COVID Positivity Rates Now Second Highest In Iowa

Carroll County is one of the top five counties with the highest 14-day COVID-19 positivity rates, second highest in the state Tuesday morning. As of 6 a.m. Carroll County is a 15.8 percent, second only to Plymouth County who is at 20.4 percent. There are a total of 306 positive cases with 181 considered recovered and Carroll County remains at two coronavirus-related deaths. In the region, there is only one other county that is at or above 15 percent positivity over the past two weeks and that is Crawford County who dropped from 17.2 percent on Monday to 15.7 percent on Tuesday. They have a recorded 794 positive cases with 701 recovered and three deaths. For the remainder of the area: Guthrie is at 6.7 percent with 157 positives, 122 recovered and five deaths; Sac is at 5.1 percent with 102 positives and 79 recovered; Calhoun is reporting a 9.5 percent positivity rate with 103 cases, 81 of which are recovered, and two deaths; Greene County reports the lowest percentage in the region at 3.2 percent with 48 positive cases, 38 of which are recovered; and Audubon is at 8.9 percent with 36 positive cases, 24 recovered and one death.
