Carroll Woman Found Banging On Door Early Friday Morning Charged With Public Intoxication

A Carroll woman found banging on the door of a residence early Friday morning has been charged with public intoxication. At approximately 12:40 a.m., a Carroll Police Department officer located the woman, identified as 40-year-old Shanna Lee Herrera, pounding on the glass door at 308 North Main Street. An affidavit claims Herrera was unable to identify who lived at that address and refused to stop banging on the door, causing a neighborhood disruption. According to the officer, Herrera smelled of alcohol and was taken into custody. She was transported to the Carroll County jail and charged with public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor.
