It was a tough night for the Kuemper Knights as they saw their season come to an end at 9-10. The Rams put the ball in play and took advantage of Kuemper mistakes. Izzy Bravard opened up the game with a bunt single and scored on the play when the throw got away and ended up in the right field corner. The Rams led 2-0 after the 1^st and opened it up more in the 2^nd. Karissa Stephenson started it with a 1 out single, after two more singles Carmyn Paup doubled scoring 3 runs and the flood gates opened. The Rams scored 5 runs in the 2^nd and then added 6 in the 3^rd inning highlighted by a grand slam home run by Emma Hoyle.

Offensively the Knights struggled against Hoyle. They only had two batters reach base. Kyndal Hilgenberg walked in the 1^st and Jordan Schwabe reached on an error. Kuemper had runners on 1^st and 2^nd with 1 out in the 1^st but didn’t score. Kuemper had 7 errors in the game.

East Sac did grab a 1-0 lead in the 2^nd inning when Maci Gustavson doubled and scored Bree Boeckman who had singled. Those were two of the Raiders 6 hits in the game. Mariah Friedrichsen added a pair of singles and Maty Quirk and Mary Bontrager both picked up singles.

Emmetsburg grabbed the lead in the bottom half of the 2^nd scoring 4 times. They added 6-runs in the 4^th inning and ended the game with a run in the 5^th.

The Radiers finished the season 7-10.

Audubon pulled away late to advance into Friday’s Regional Semifinal At Newell Fonda. The Wheelers had a 6-2 lead heading into the 6^th and added 5 runs to open things up. Kali Irlmeier, Mattie Nielsen, Hannah Thygesen and Jordan Porsch all had RBI during the run. Glidden Ralston had taken a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1^st and finished with 8 hits. Audubon answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 1^st as Mattie Nielsen scored a pair of runs on a ground out. The Wheelers added a run in the 2^nd and 2 more in the 3^rd.             Audubon finished with 12 hits.

Jordan Porsch had two hits and 4 RBI, Sydney Beymer had 2 hits as did Katelyn Nielsen, Kali Irlmeier and Hannah Thygesen who added 2 RBI. Kali Irlmeier picked up the win going 6 innings and giving up 4 hits and 2-runs while striking out 6.

Morgan Koehler led Glidden Ralston with a pair of hits including a double. Jozey Gump tripled and drove in 2-runs and Talia Schon tripled and scored a run.

The Wheelers improve to 11-8 while Glidden Ralston ends the season at 5-9.

The Wheelers will play at Newell Fonda on Friday on 93.7 KKRL.
