Carroll Rec Center Tours And Coffee With The Mayor Scheduled Ahead Of September Bond Referendum

The City of Carroll continues to work toward a Sept. 8 referendum vote on a combination of General Obligation (GO) bonds and Local Option Sales Tax (L.O.S.T.) funds to pay for the estimated $13.38 million Recreation Center renovations and addition. In their efforts to help residents understand exactly what improvements are being proposed, the funding plan and how that will impact property taxes, tours and informal discussions have been planned. The first of four planned facility tours will be held at 9 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning. The rest are scheduled for Thursday, July 16 at 4 p.m.; Tuesday, July 21 at 9 a.m.; and Thursday, July 23 at 5:30 p.m. A special coffee with Mayor, Dr. Eric Jensen, and other city staff members has been planned for Saturday, July 25 at 9 a.m., also at the Rec Center. Anyone with questions about these planned informational events can contact Director of Parks and Recreation, Jack Wardell, at 792-1000.
