Carroll improved to 5-8 overall and 3-3 in the Raccoon River Conference, getting a great pitching performance and a flawless defensive performance. Nissen struck out 6, allowing just 5 hits in a complete game shutout. The Tiger defense didn’t make an error.

Carroll broke through in the 3rd inning, Ty Nissen drove in a run with a sac fly while Slade Sibenaller and Colby Christensen both had RBI singles. Cade Schable scored the other run on a wild pitch. That would prove to be all the Tigers needed but they add more in the 4th and 5th. Tory Feldman was a part of the last two runs scoring on an error in the 4th and driving in a run with a sac fly in the 5th.

The Tigers travel to Atlantic on Tuesday.

Maxwel Jessen pitched a gem and the top four batters in the lineup combined for 8-14 at the plate with 6 RBI and 7 runs scored as the Raiders move to 5-4 on the season. The loss drops South Central Calhoun to 0-8. Chase Scheidegger pitched well in the loss. He allowed just 4 earned runs in 4 innings.

The Raiders scored a run in the 1st and then added 3 unearned runs in the 3rd and 3 more runs in the 4th. The Titans got their lone run when Scheidegger doubled to lead off the inning and then scored on an error on a play at 3rd.

Derek Aschinger went 4-4 with a double, 2 RBI and 4 runs scored for the Raiders. Quintin Ludwig had a pair of singles and scored twice, Griffin O’Neill doubled and drove in 3-runs. Caleb Villhauer had an RBI single and scored a run.

Jessen pitched all 6 innings only allowing 4 hits and no earned runs. He struck out 2 and walked none.

Scheidegger finished 2-3 with a double and a run scored. Bryce Smidt and Gavin Batta had the other Titan hits.

East Sac will host Ar-We-Va on Monday and South Central Calhoun heads to Coon Rapids Bayard.

Coon Rapids Bayard had 7 hits and were walked 15 times as they improved to 10-3 on the season. The loss dropped the Wildcats to fell to 2-6. The Crusaders took care of business early scoring 7 in the 1st and 9 more runs in the 2nd.

Peyton Clipperton led the hit attack with a single and a triple and finished with 2 RBI. Preston McAlister drove in 4-runs with a base hit and a walk. Josh Ramirez walked 3 times and scored all 3 times. Gabe Obert and Tanner Oswald each added a pair of RBI, Oswald were on a double. Quentin Culbertson allowed just 4 hits while striking out 9 in 4 innings to earn the win.

Nathan Brant went 2-2 with a double for Glidden Ralston. Caden Smith and Jared Free each singled.

Coon Rapids Bayard will host South Central Calhoun on Monday. Glidden Ralston travels to Panorama on Monday.

The Rockets slipped to 0-7 on the season as they fell at home. The 2nd inning was the difference in the game as the Hawkeyes scored 7 runs. Ar-We-Va had a pair of hits in the game and were out hit 11-2.

Cooper Kock and Luke Smith each singled. Conner Kirsch scored the Rocket run in the 7th.

Ar-We-Va heads to East Sac on Monday.
