Ida Grove Woman Airlifted With Serious Injuries In Monday Morning Accident

An Ida Grove woman was airlifted to a Sioux City hospital with serious injuries from a Monday morning accident east of Ida Grove on U.S. Highway 175. The Iowa State Patrol reports they responded to the scene near Market Avenue at approximately 11:48 a.m. Twenty-year-old Sahvannah Rose Medina was westbound on Highway 175 in a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe. For unknown reasons, she crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2017 Kenworth semi-tractor trailer, driven by 29-year-old Mickey R. Allen of West Bend. Allen was not injured in the accident. The Ida County Sheriff’s Office and Ida Grove Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
