A Carroll woman was arrested on an assault charge Thursday afternoon. The Carroll Police Department received a report of the assault at 7th and East Streets at approximately 4:44 p.m. The initial investigation revealed that 36-year-old Kelly Lynn Pike had struck another person in the face causing minor injuries. She was transported to the Carroll County jail and later released on a $300 bond. She is scheduled to appear in District Court for Carroll County on the simple misdemeanor charge on July 16.
