Two vehicles were heavily damaged, but both drivers refused transportation for treatment of minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Carroll early Friday morning. The Carroll Police Department responded to the scene at the intersection of 2nd and Main Streets at approximately 12:14 a.m. Twenty-year-old Brad Roberts of Carroll was southbound on Main in a 2017 Nissan Altima. Sixteen-year-old Marissa Lilly of Carroll was westbound on second in a 1997 Ford F-150 at that time, and failed to stop at a posted sign, striking the driver’s side of the car. The impact caused the Altima to enter the yard at 127 N. Main Street, where it knocked over a sign and caused minor damage to the residence. Both vehicles were disabled and reportedly potentially totaled in the accident. Lilly was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
