Applications for Iowa 2020 deer tags open May 2, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering a few tips on how to get ready to apply. Those with existing accounts should log in and update their profiles. They should ensure their mailing and email addresses are current and the phone number is correct. They should make sure their hunter safety information is saved in their account. If not, upload a photo of the hunter safety certificate by clicking “Documents” above your profile. Those born after Jan. 1, 1972 need to have that certificate in their account to apply. The application period will open at 6 a.m. on May 2 and close at midnight on June 7.
