Kuemper trailed just once in the game and that was early at 5-4 and they were tied only 4 times while building a lead as large at 13. The Knights executed well on offense and did a great job attacking the glass on the offensive end. Cole Collison pulled down 9 of his team high 12 rebounds in the 1st half and had a couple nice tip in including one at the 1st half horn. Kuemper was up 20-14 after the 1st quarter and then led 32-20 at half.  Gage Fry came out hot for GVC and scored 14 points in the 1st half. He would finish with 31 but the Knights defended him well after the 1st quarter and forced him to make some tough shots. Kyle Berg was huge with 10 1st quarter points go right after the 6-10 Daniel Tobiloba. Berg finished with a game high 18 points along with 6 rebounds. GVC did rally in the game and made a run late tying the game at 63. Kyle Feauto stepped to the line with just over 4 seconds left and hit one of two free throws and then Cole Collison tipped the Thunder pass to half court into the hands of Kyle Berg to end the game. Kuemper moves to 6-14 on the season. They open the playoffs on Monday Vs Underwood at Guthrie Center. The game will be broadcast on 93.7 KKRL.

Carrol fell down by 14 in the 2nd half before making a great comeback tying the game at 65 and sending it to overtime. Karter Lein hit a free throw with 3 seconds left to finish the Tigers rally in regulation. Carlslie grabbed the lead in the extra period but Carroll would have one more shot getting the ball with 8 seconds left down 1. A baseline jumper fell short and Carroll lost for the 2nd straight game for the first time this season. The 3rd quarter was the difference for the Tigers who suffered their 3rd loss of the season. They trailed 34-30 at half but were outscored 18-9 in the 3rd. They stormed back in the 4th pouring in 26 points. Lein finished with a game high 20 points and 6 assists, Kaleb Booth added 13 points, Tory Feldman 11 points and Colby Vincent 11 points. The loss drops Carroll to 16-3 overall and 11-3 in the Raccoon River Conference. They head out of conference on Monday and play at Humboldt.

Kaleb Fisher and Connor Brus were in double figures as the Rockets wrapped up the regular season. Fisher finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds while Brus added 12 points. Bradyn Smith had a solid game with 9 points and 9 rebounds.  The loss drops the Rockets to 5-16 on the season as they prepare to head to Newell Fonda for the 1st round of district play on Thursday.

East Sac shot it well hitting 31-61 shots including 5-16 from three point range. Camden Schroeder, Brett Sharp and Nick Gerdes teamed up to go 18-24 from the field. Schroeder led the way with 19 points and 8 rebounds, Sharp had 13 points while Gerdes finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Griffin O’Niell had a nice floor night with 10 points, 6 assists and 7 steals. The Raiders pulled away in the 2nd quarter and led 45-25 at half. They kept the pressure in the 3rd quarter. The win moves the Raiders to 15-6 to end the regular season. East Sac will host Manson NW Webster on Monday in the 2nd game of a playoff double header. The Raiders game will be broadcast on KIKD 106.7.
