Those wanting to purchase month-by-month, 24-hour access to the Carroll Rec Center fitness room will now be offered that opportunity. Carroll Parks and Recreation Director, Jack Wardell, says that as of Feb. 15, the Rec Center began offering the extended service to members for an annual cost of $120. They currently have 39 people taking advantage of this option, but recently others have been asking about being able to utilize the service without having to pay the full year of fees.
Wardell says it has been running smoothly so far. They have a sophisticated camera system that employees can monitor any time of the day or night, and they are able to easily keep track of what transpires during the off hours. He has no reservation about adding to the number of people allowed to use the service.
These will be available year round to anyone with that monthly membership, not just during school breaks and not just for students. This is a great opportunity to try out the services offered by the Rec Center before entering into an annual membership as well.
