Iowa Ranks In Top 15 Of Working States

A recent report released by personal-finance website, WalletHub, has ranked Iowa as one of the top 15 hardest working states in the nation. Ten key metrics were used to evaluate each state and included the average number of workweek hours, the share of workers with multiple jobs and the annual volunteer hours spent per resident. Overall, Iowa came in at 14, just under Hawaii and Maryland. The state placed second in the share of workers with multiple jobs and seventh in the unemployment rate, with the lowest score of the major key metrics only landing Iowa in the middle of the pack with a ranking of 24th in the average amount of leisure time spent per day. The hardest working states on the list were Alaska at number one and North Dakota at number two with Nebraska coming in fifth. At the bottom of the list was Michigan in 50th place with Rhode Island and West Virginia ranking only slightly better. The full WalletHub report can be found through the link included below.
