Carroll Judge Signs Order Recusing Himself From Presiding Over Library Legal Dispute

A District Court Judge has removed himself from participating in a legal dispute over the Carroll Public Library project. In an order filed Tuesday evening, Senior Judge, Gary McMinimee, signed an order recusing himself from further participation in the litigation. The lawsuit against the City of Carroll, the Carroll City Council and City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver was filed by Dr. Richard Collison in early August and claims the defendants misled the public leading up to a referendum allowing for the issuance of $3.8 million in bonds to help fund the renovation of the library and city hall. McMinimee, a Carroll resident, does not go into detail in the order as to why he would remove himself from presiding over the case.
