Gov. Reynolds Makes Digital Appearance At IKM-Manning GALA

Gov. Kim Reynolds made a special, digital appearance, speaking to the more than 300 people who attended the fourth annual IKM-Manning GALA last Saturday at the Hausbarn Konferenz Centre in Manning. She recognized the district and the communities that support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. IKM-Manning has led the state, in not only the programming they are able to offer students, but in their ability to bring business, community and school together to fund these efforts. Organizers say that to date, more than $90,000 has been raised, but they are not done yet as sponsorships will be taken up to May 31 and will be added to that initial tally. In all there were more than 150 silent and live auction items sold, raising $46,000 between the two. The raffle raised over $3,000 and there were 57 bottles of wine sold in just one hour, adding another $1,150 to the night’s total. To date, the GALA has raised and distributed $220,000 to various programs, including Pint-sized Science, First Lego League, Jr., Project Lead the Way and Making STEM Connections. The Governor’s video along with more details on ways to obtain more information on how to support the IKM-Manning GALA can be found below.
