Kuemper Volleyball Headed To State, Class Schedules To Be Changed For Next Week

Just last night (Monday), the Kuemper Catholic High School volleyball team solidified a trip to Cedar Rapids for the state tournament, sweeping all three matches against South Central Calhoun (SCC). Early this morning (Tuesday), the administration got busy with the logistics that go with making sure that everyone gets the opportunity to cheer on their team, beginning with their first game next Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the U.S. Cellular Center. President, John Steffes, says there will definitely be changes to the class schedules for next week.

There will be a free pep bus for students, just for the noon game on Wednesday. They will be able to sign up for that at the office. If the team wins and plays on Thursday, absences will be excused. They will also be planning a send-off for the team, but the administration is still working on details and will provide an update as soon as those are solidified. Number two ranked Kuemper, who is 38-2, will be taking on number seven ranked Iowa Falls-Alden, who has a 31-5 record. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Columbus Catholic and Beckman Catholic game on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.
