Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) has announced the addition of two new certificate programs to help working people meet the medical industry’s demand for healthcare Information Technology skills. DMACC developed the Health Information Technology for the Healthcare Professionals and Health Information Technology for the IT Professionals Certificates with help from an advisory board made up of representatives from UnityPoint Health Des Moines, the Iowa Clinic and Mercy Health Network. Each certificate is a three-semester, 21 credit program and part of the DMACC Health Information Technology associate degree. Most of the courses can be taken online or as a mixture of both online and classroom sessions. A link with more information on the certificates can be found included below this story.
