A meeting of councilmembers in Sac City this morning (Thursday) to review city administrator applicants resulted in no formal decision being made. The city has been without an administrator since December and has operated relatively smoothly since then. Sac City has interviewed five applicants in recent weeks, but the council is screening its candidates closely. Councilmember Tom McGinty indicated the city wanted to be sure of the candidate they select and said, “No hire is better than a bad hire.” City officials were unable to provide a timeline for when the vacant position would be filled.
