See The Good, The Bad And The Bacon At 10th Annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival

The 10th Annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 18, and it sounds like a great weekend to enjoy “The Good, The Bad and the Bacon” country-western theme. Doors at the Iowa Events Center will open at 10 a.m., and from then until the party ends at 5 p.m., there is entertainment guaranteed to make everybody squeal. Mr. Baber’s Neighbors will provide traditional American folk music for the morning’s early attendees. The Country Hillbilly and Western Band (CHAW) will be blasting country classics beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon welcomes Jake Gill, one of 2017s hottest acts. He will perform original music, including “Kansas Queen,” “Cricket Serenade,” and “Guts.” The Hormel and Hy-Vee bacon eating contest will be held at 3 p.m., with Will Jade Robinson back to try to defend his title. And the day closes with American Country, touted as the Hairball of country music, performing at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by following the link below
