The Carroll County Historical Society will be hosting a uniquely different type of historical presentation with retired Editor-in-Chief of Midwest Living magazine and Iowa Public Television host, Dan Kaercher. At 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, Kaercher will inject humor into an informative discussion on what surprises you may not even know exist in your own back yard of Iowa. Everything is fair game for Kaercher, who will provide the unknown details about area historic sites and parks, natural wonders and the small town and city attractions everyone thinks they are familiar with. The event is free of charge and will be held at the United Methodist Church in Carroll.
