Healthcare Needs Assessment Survey Open For Manning And Carroll County

Manning Regional Healthcare Center has partnered with AmeriCorps for the Community Health Needs Assessment, which is designed to provide overview of the healthcare concerns of the residents of Manning and Carroll County. AmeriCorps member, Justin Abrams, is in charge of conducting the assessment, and says the first part of the project, a survey, is currently up and running on the web and is available in paper forms through various businesses in Manning and throughout Carroll County. Residents are encouraged to access the survey by logging on to the MRHC homepage at www.mrhcia.com. Once the results are in, Abrams said they will move on to developing strategies to address the identified needs.

Abrams said the assessments are required by the Internal Revenue Service every three years. The last survey done in 2013 identified obesity and colon cancer as community concerns. Events, activities and educational formats were then created to address those concerns. Everyone is invited to participate in the survey and if you have questions or are in need of more information, contact Abrams at 712-655-2072 ext. 261. A link to the survey can be found here.
