Iowa State University to receive federal grant



AMES, Iowa (AP) - Iowa State University has received a nearly
$100,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.
     U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley announced the competitive grant for the
Ames campus on Tuesday. Grassley's office says the money will go to
aid funding for the "CAREER: Advanced Decision Procedures for
Words, Trees and Lists" project.
     According to a news release, Grassley's office says thousands of
groups from Iowa, including universities, apply for federal
government competitive grants.
