Teen killed while walking on Iowa interstate
URBANA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a teenager walking on
Interstate 380 died after he was hit by a car near Urbana in
eastern Iowa.
The Benton County sheriff's office says the boy was walking in
the northbound lane when he struck shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday.
The sheriff's office says it received several calls about the
person shortly before the accident.
The teen died at the scene. His name was not immediately
released pending notification of his family.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
