Man found dead under vehicle in Indianola
INDIANOLA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities in Warren County are
investigating the death of a 40-year-old rural Indianola man who
was apparently crushed when a vehicle he was working on fell off
its jack.
The Warren County Sheriff's office says it got a 911 call early
Monday morning from the wife of Michael James Martin, saying her
husband was trapped under the vehicle and unresponsive.
Sheriff's deputies and New Virginia fire rescue personnel
attempted to revive Martin, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say an autopsy is planned.
