Drake Bulldogs Set to Play Internationally
Drake plans to face an all-star team
from Mexico in what the school says will be the first American
football game played in Africa. The Bulldogs will play May 21 in
Tanzania in the inaugural Global Kilimanjaro Bowl.

Hawkeye Lineman Hundertmark Leaves the Team
Iowa says junior offensive lineman Cody
Hundertmark has left the Hawkeyes to focus on his schoolwork. The
6-foot-4, 285-pounder from Humboldt played sparingly as a defensive
lineman from 2007 to 2009. He wasn't listed on the depth chart for
Saturday's opener against Eastern Illinois.

Big Ten Divisions
The Big Ten says Iowa will be in a division with
Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan State, Michigan and Northwestern when
the league grows to 12 teams next year. The other division will
feature Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Purdue and
Indiana.

ISU Season Opener Tonight
Iowa State kicks off the season tonight by
hosting Northern Illinois, which is the favorite to win the West
division of the Mid-American Conference. The Cyclones are breaking
in a new-look defense but are favored by four-and-a-half points.
