Denison, Iowa -- A man led Crawford County Deputy Sheriff Todd Perdew on a high speed chase through two counties on Saturday. After Deputy Perdew attempted to stop 26 year-old Rodrigo Martinez-Jaimes with lights and sirens the officer was led on a high speed chase north bound on 290th Street from Deloit. Jaimes vehicle ran numerous stop signs while trying to evade police. In a final attempt to lose the officer Jaimes turned into a farm field. Deputy Perdew pursued Jaimes’ vehicle where the chase eventually ended on 340th Street in Sac County. Jaimes surrendered after finally pulling the vehicle to the side of the road. He was taken into custody and faces charges of driving with a revoked license and reckless driving. Jaimes was later released on bond.
