The daughter of Walter and Minnie (Weller) Brockmann, she was born August 17, 1926, southwest of Arcadia.  She was a life-long resident of Carroll County having lived much of her early life on the farm near Westside, and then, in later years, in Carroll.
She was born on the family farm five miles southeast of Westside and attended country school through the eighth-grade.  She was stricken with epilepsy, though mildly, and made her home with her parents throughout much of her life.  She enjoyed living and assisting with activities on the family farm until relocating to Carroll with her parents in 1958, and then made frequent trips with her parents to the farm to help her brother, Merlin.
Ms. Brockmann was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia, where she was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed as a young adult.  In her younger years she enjoyed playing cards and was an avid needle-point enthusiast.  She often enjoyed participating with her mother at Zion’s many Ladies Aid functions over the years, especially quilting-bees, along with enjoying coffee, conversation, and reading. She made her home in Carroll and, for the past several years, was a resident of Mallard View, a residential care facility.
Survivors include a brother Merlin, her only sibling; nephew Mark Brockmann and his wife Nicole, Lafayette, LA; nephew Cory Brockmann and his wife Catherine, Beaverton, OR; niece Ellen Brockmann, Pensacola, FL; and several great nieces.
Ms. Brockmann was preceded in death by her parents; nephew Russell, in October 2000; sister-in-law Beverly, in August 2002; and, niece Dee Ann, in June 2013.
