United Bank of Iowa hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday night to celebrate the opening of a new banking facility in Glidden. The Glidden branch, which has been in downtown since 2006, is now situated on the south side of Highway 30 on the eastern edge of the city. Work on the project began about one year ago and was finished in time for the bank to begin offering services at the new location in February. The building features larger and more comfortable accommodations, better parking and increased handicap accessibility. Branch Manager, David McNamara, says they are thrilled with their new facilities and look forward to continuing to serve the Glidden and the surrounding area for years to come.
