Two Spencer men accused of stealing a computer from the Carroll Walmart made their initial appearances in Carroll County District Court this week. According to court records, 30-year-old Nikolas Ryan Harken and 30-year-old Bryan Alan Kladstrup were notified on Wednesday they were each facing a charge of second-degree theft, a class D felony. The charges stem from an incident on Thursday, May 24. The men allegedly entered the store at approximately 5:15 a.m. and took a computer valued at over $1,000 without paying or permission. Harken and Kladstrup remain in custody at the Carroll County jail on a $5,000 bond each. If found guilty of the charges, they could face up to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $7,500.
