The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office reports three suspects were held in three separate incidents last week. On Tuesday, March 6, at approximately 11:36 a.m., 53-year-old Mitchell Thompson of Atlantic was arrested in Cass County and transported to Audubon County on an outstanding warrant for parole violation. He is currently being held in the Audubon County jail awaiting an appearance in District Court. On Friday, March 9, at approximately 1:45 a.m., an investigation into a suspicious vehicle resulted in an arrest. K-9 Axel alerted to the presence of a narcotic in the vehicle, and 22-year-old Brady Dennis Drees of Exira was taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Cannabidoil (THC wax). The third arrest was reported at about 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in Polk County. Twenty-four-year old Justin Cannon of Des Moines was transported to Audubon County and is currently being held awaiting an appearance in District Court for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
