SARH And McFarland Clinic To Collaborate On Orthopedic Services

St. Anthony Regional Hospital and the McFarland Clinic have announced they will be entering into a collaboration to provide orthopedic services to area patients. Effective Monday, June 11, The Des Moines Orthopedic Surgeons (DMOS) space on Clark Street at St. Anthony will transition to McFarland Orthopedic Services. The team will include 17-year veteran, Dr. Thomas Dulaney, who will continue part-time as a DMOS surgeon in the same space, as well as Dr. David Muron, a McFarland-contracted physician. “This is a very exciting time for orthopedics in Carroll,” says St. Anthony President and CEO, Ed Smith. “As Dr. Dulaney looks to reduce his schedule, we have the opportunity to expand our team to include more surgeons. This joint decision was made to ensure continuity of outstanding orthopedic care for the many west central Iowans seeking those services and for the physicians who refer their patients,” Smith adds. Andrew Perry, CEO of the McFarland Clinic says, “We are pleased to collaborate with St. Anthony leadership and form a partnership that will benefit the community. We will continue to recruit for two, full-time orthopedic surgeons within the coming year.” The current employees will remain and Dr. Dulaney will see patients on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Dr. Muron will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number for all local orthopedic services will be 792-7520.
