NEW Cooperative Foundation Donates More Than $40,000 To Area 4-H Clubs

In a show of support for 4-H clubs, the NEW Cooperative Foundation has donated more than $40,000 to reduce membership costs for youth. The money donated will be distributed to clubs in Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Sac and Crawford Counties to cover half of each club’s annual dues. NEW Cooperative takes great pride in supporting area 4-H programs and said in a statement, “We strongly feel that 4-H helps these youth to build the foundation to become future leaders in our local communities. We are excited for them as they gain all of the valuable skills and knowledge the 4-H program offers.” Clubs in Webster, Franklin, Pocahontas, Humboldt, Hamilton, Kossuth, Cherokee, Plymouth, Monona, Wright and Woodbury Counties will also receive a portion of the $42,405 donation. NEW Cooperative is a farmer-owned grain, agronomy, energy and feed company headquartered in Fort Dodge. They serve nearly 4,600 members throughout their 39 locations in Iowa.
