Missouri Woman Attacks Authorities While Being Booked For Public Intoxication

A Missouri woman became unruly during an arrest and assaulted a Jefferson Police Department officer and a deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. The incident began at approximately 10:47 p.m., when the officer made contact with a couple who were in the middle of South Cedar Street. Thirty-year-old Amanda Jo Goodpaster was arrested at that time for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, both simple misdemeanors. During the booking process, Goodpaster attacked the officer and deputy and was subsequently charged with one count of assault of person’s in certain occupations, a serious misdemeanor, and assault of person’s in certain occupations causing injury, an aggravated misdemeanor.
