An invaluable training experience will be taking place for business owners and their staff in Manning next week. Manning Chief of Police, Sam Hansen, will be conducting training on a couple of different scenarios of active shooter attacks. Attendees on that evening will learn what to do if confronted by a shooter in their place of business as well as what actions they should and should not take in the event there is a Main Street shooting involving a larger group of individuals. The training will be followed up with a question and answer session. The active shooter training will begin at 5:30 p.m. next Monday, Jan. 15 at the Warren H. Timmerman Shelter House in Manning and is free to attend for all local business owners and their employees.
