Over the past couple of weeks, Iowa House 12th District Representative, Brian Best, has welcomed local groups to the statehouse. At the end of January, students and staff from Des Moines Area Community College were at the Capitol for a tour and to talk with legislators on Community College Day on the Hill. Later that same week, Best welcomed students from the Audubon FFA Chapter on the legislation’s FFA Day. Best recently announced his intentions to seek a third, two-year term in office. To date, no other candidates have filed paperwork to challenge the Republican in his bid for reelection.
