A fun holiday activity for employees at Wild Rose Casino and Resort Jefferson has netted a nice donation for the Jefferson Shop with a Cop program. At the onset of the holidays, Wild Rose employees were encouraged to participate in a door decorating contest. The winning department would then receive $250 to donate to the charitable cause of their choice. In mid-December, the Jefferson Matters: Main Street group toured the facility and judged the entries. The winning department, the Security Division, acted in keeping with their specialty. They decided to donate to the local law enforcement program that helps area families in need during the holidays by taking kids out to purchase gifts, and this year, donating a full Christmas dinner to each child’s family. On Wednesday, the Security Division presented the check to Jefferson Police Department Chief, Mark Clouse, and Greene County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy, Nathaniel Chapman.
