Glidden Visioning Committee Seeking Residents’ Input On Future Projects

The Glidden Visioning Committee is seeking input from residents to help guide the future designs for the city. Glidden was chosen to participate in the 2018 Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning Program. Iowa State University (ISU), with the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) and Trees Forever, is conducting surveys to hear residents’ input on what kinds of improvements they would like to see to Glidden’s landscape and transportation. Ultimately, that information will be used to develop a landscape plan that graphically represents the community. Twenty-five randomly selected residents in Glidden will receive a survey in the mail. Individuals receiving a packet are asked to complete the approximately 25-minute survey and return it with the enclosed postage-paid envelope. In addition to the surveys, the Glidden Visioning Committee will be meeting regularly to examine transportation improvements to the city and plan to hold a design workshop later this summer. These meetings are open to the public and everybody is encouraged to attend. For more information about these projects or to find out how to participate, contact Suzy Danner or Leslie Berckes through the methods included below this story.
