The Carroll Community School District (CCS) Board of Education has named a new Transportation Director. Jeff Cullen was approved unanimously and currently works as an inspector for the State Fire Marshal’s Office with prior experience as a special agent and an Iowa State Trooper. Cullen will begin in his new position on July 1, pending return of a clear background check. In addition to serving as Carroll’s Transportation Director, he will also fill the role for the Glidden-Ralston Community School District after the board approved a sharing agreement Wednesday. Cullen will be replacing the current Transportation Director, Tom Reiter, who was approved for early retirement last December. Reiter was employed by the district for more than two decades.
