Time is running out to register for the Iowa Student Loan College Scholarship Program. Thirty high school seniors will be given $2,000 and learn more about college borrowing and personal finance along the way. In addition to the student award, each high school will receive $500. Registration will close on Friday, Feb. 16, and then those with the 30 highest assessment scores will receive the scholarships for the fall of 2018. In the event of a tie, the students will be judged on a short essay. To participate, students can follow the link included with this story on our website and then follow through on two tutorials, Student Loan Game Plan and the ROCI Reality Check. More than 3,000 students have already registered with 40 percent having completed the required steps to qualify for consideration.
