Churdan Man Arrested Tuesday On Criminal Mischief And Assault Charges

The Carroll Police Department has arrested a Churdan man on two separate misdemeanor charges. According to online court records, 18-year-old Tristen Jack Palen Wood vandalized the delivery vehicle of the Carroll Pizza Ranch on the evening of May 7 or morning of May 8. Palen Wood spray painted the word NIKE on the car and claims to be a part of the Omaha, Neb. gang of the same name. He told authorities he ended his employment with the restaurant after a dispute with a manager. According to authorities, Palen Wood also assaulted a Carroll resident in front of an apartment in the 900 block of N. East Street. Police say he was caught on video at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday morning pushing the person to the ground. He later admitted to punching the victim at least twice. Palen Wood was taken into custody Tuesday and transported to the Carroll County jail where he was charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief and assault, both simple misdemeanors.
