Carroll Man Arrested On Felony Drug Charges Friday

A Carroll man was arrested last week on two felony drug charges following a police investigation into a petty theft. At approximately 7:42 a.m. on Friday, the Carroll Police Department responded to the Carrollton Inn for a man sleeping in the business’ coat closet. An officer made contact with the individual, 34-year-old Clark Loggins Schrodermier, and identified him as the suspect believed to have stolen an energy drink, migraine medicine and fruit snacks from Fareway. During a search incident to arrest, law enforcement found $418 in cash and two bags containing nine smaller baggies with uniform amounts of marijuana in each. Schrodermier was arrested and transported to the Carroll County jail where he was charged with intent to deliver marijuana and third-offense possession of a controlled substance, both class D felonies, and fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor. He is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Carroll County District Court on Thursday, May 10. If found guilty of the charges, Schrodermier faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and up to $15,000 in fines.
