Carroll County Engineer, Dave Paulson, received two quotes for the purchase of a new low-boy, belly dump truck from local dealers. One of the bids was for a Mac truck from Hausby and the other for an International from O’Halloran International, but there were some differences in what was included with each bid.
Paulson said it would take another $8,000 to $8,500 added to the International truck to get the third axle. Overall, Paulson was pleased with the quotes he received.
Paulson presented the information to the Carroll County Board of Supervisors who approved the purchase of the lower-priced Mac truck from Hausby at a cost of $117,550.
