Two Grand Junction Drivers Involved In Property Damage Accident Near Jefferson

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Highway 30 east of Jefferson last week on Thursday evening. At approximately 6:55 p.m. they responded to the scene at the intersection with S Ave. to find that a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 19-year-old Zachery Danner of Grand Junction, was rear-ended while attempting to make a turn south onto S Ave. Danner was struck by a 1998 Ford Mustang, driven by 21-year-old William Lowe of Grand Junction. There was an estimated $800 in damage to the Silverado and $3,000 to the Mustang. Lowe was cited for following to close.
