Two Arrests Made In Friday’s Jefferson Assault

Two people have been arrested in the assault of a male and female at 201 East Perry Street in Jefferson on Friday, Aug. 4. The Jefferson Police Department conducted an investigation into the incident, which was reported at approximately 5:43 a.m. Officers were told two subjects entered a residence the female rented and assaulted her and a male guest. At approximately 1:43 p.m. on Tuesday, the suspects were located at 703 Main Street in Scranton. Thirty-one-year-old Jesse Lynn Crawford of Jamaica and 32-year-old Amanda Fay Petrzilka (Lawrence) of Scranton were taken into custody. Both have been charged with first-degree burglary, a class B felony, willful injury, a class D felony, and two counts of assault while participating in a felony, also a class D felony. Crawford has the added charge of first-degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor. They were both transported to the Greene County Jail. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted in that investigation.
