Senator Chuck Grassley was in Greene County Monday for a question and answer session with employees at the Midland Power Cooperative in Jefferson. During the visit, Grassley was presented with the Spirit of Enterprise Award from the United States Chamber of Commerce for his support of pro-job legislation. Grassley then discussed with employees the need for criminal justice and tax reform as well as other topics including wages, ethanol and healthcare pricing. Grassley says, “I appreciate the opportunity to visit Midland Power Cooperative, answer questions and take comments from Iowans.” He concluded his 37th annual 99-county tour on Monday afternoon with a town meeting in Boone. Grassley has held one such meeting in each county every year since he was elected to serve in the U.S. Senate and will field questions on any topic raised.
