SCC And ESC Plan To Honor Fallen Fallen Police Officer And Titan Junior At Friday’s Football Game

Football players and fans from South Central Calhoun (SCC) are being asked to don blue and green colors for tomorrow’s (Friday) football game to honor two individuals from the district. Green is being worn for Jacy McAlexander, a Titan junior classman who is battling Ewing’s Sarcoma. McAlexander was originally diagnosed with the rare bone cancer in second grade and was thought to be in remission before being diagnosed again in 2015. Blue is being worn to honor Rockwell City-Lytton High School graduate and Urbandale Police Officer, Justin Martin. Martin was killed in the line of duty nearly a year ago on Nov. 2, 2016 while in his squad car on patrol. The football players will be wearing a sock of each color to honor the two on the field during the final home game of the regular season. SCC’s opponent, East Sac County, has also committed to joining in the effort. Fans from both schools are encouraged to dress in as much blue and green for the game Friday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at the SCC football field in Lake City.
