Sac County Partnerships For Success Aims To Reduce Underage Drinking Through Compliance Checks

The Sac County Partnerships for Success Subcommittee announced yesterday (Monday) they are teaming up with law enforcement to combat underage drinking by ensuring alcohol retailers are complying with age restrictions. Underage and binge drinking leads to a number of serious problems including impaired driving, sexual assault, violence and vandalism. To prevent those outcomes, the Iowa State Patrol will perform at least three rounds of alcohol compliance checks at retailers around the county during the year. The subcommittee is working with New Opportunities with funding from the Iowa Partnerships for Success (IPFS) Grant.
