No Victim Corroboration On Report Of Man With Machete

At approximately 6:04 a.m. Monday, the Jefferson Police Department responded to a caller warning of a man with a machete. Officers report they were informed that the male had just left a home in the 600 block of North Olive Street with the stated intention of confronting another male on North Locust Street. When authorities questioned residents at the Locust Street address, they refused to cooperate and would not confirm or deny if the male had arrived at the residence and/or threatened them with a machete. No action could be taken without the cooperation of a victim, if one existed.
